With Artificial Intelligence becoming more and more advanced, we wanted to test whether an AI tool would be able to replace or replicate the work done by humans.
So, we asked Chatgpt and one of our copywriters to write a description of a bar of soap. We gave our copywriter and Chatgpt the same brief, and the results were entirely different.
AI vs. Human
Episode 1: A bar of soap
The brief:
Write a two-line description of a bar of soap. The description should be punny but refined, and should mention the price of one bar of soap (INR 300), without mentioning any ingredients.
AI response:
Introducing our "Pure Punsomeness" bar of soap, a lather that cleans with wit and leaves you feeling pampered. Priced at an incredible INR 300, indulge in a bubbly experience that adds a touch of charm to your daily routine, because cleanliness should always come with a side of laughter.
Human copywriter response:
Meet our new favourite soaperhero: use it twice a day to feel squeaky clean, refreshed, and ready to conquer whatever the day (or night) has in store for you. Water you waiting for; make it yours for INR 300!
The verdict:
Chatgpt displayed correct grammar usage and sentence phrasing, but couldn't quite grasp what it was being asked to do. It sent a confusing response to a clearly worded brief.
The winner: HUMAN
AI, as quick and efficient as it is, has not yet replaced the nuances of copywriting.
