July was hotter than ever - and so were the trends!

We’re rounding up everything that has created an un-bee-lievable amount of buzz in the past month. Here are the best of July's trends!

We’re All In Barbie’s World!

Hi Barbie! (Hi Ken!)

Barbie’s marketing team has ensured that there are several reasons that pink is the only colour of relevance this season! Our feeds are collectively bursting with this trending format. This catchy and topical audio has been adopted by several brands to showcase their products & their people.

Bombastic Side Eye

The phenomenon was sparked by a popular audio clip, leading people to mimic the song's lyrics while also adding the infamous side eye that denotes scepticism and annoyance. I feel the need to roll my eyes everytime I hear it as well, I’m giving the bombastic side eye to Bombastic Side Eye.

What Do You Mean ft. Jennifer Lawrence

This line is no longer a reference to the Justin Bieber song. Jennifer Lawrence appeared on a show to promote her movie ‘No Hard Feelings’ and went all kinds of viral. She mutters "what do you mean" multiple times in disbelief, and this trend has been used all month to create several humorous memes.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Viral Kahaani

To build anticipation for Bollywood’s upcoming big banner drama, Karan Johar has encouraged audiences to create their own videos with the songs from the movie. From re-enacting dance moves to singing the tunes, this trend has inspired everyone to put out an extraordinarily large amount of topical content. It is no longer Rocky & Rani’s prem kahaani, but everyones!

What else is new this season?

You Can’t Be Left On (th)Read Tweety tweeted too loudly, and now we’ve got another app that has been woven into the web. Threads is Instagram’s version of Twitter, a text-based conversation app which got over 100 million subscribers in the first week. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave! The only way to delete your Threads account is to deactivate your Instagram account as well.

Broadcast Channels

Creators now have a new and exciting way to stay connected with their audience. Through Instagram’s newly launched Broadcast Channels, they can engage with their followers in more dynamic and interactive ways than ever before. They can send videos, photos and voice notes to their followers, which allows them to build stronger relationships and foster a deeper sense of community.
